In a tribal area, for every 3000 populations, there is one sub-center, a primary health center for every 20,000 populations, and a community health center for 80,000 populations. Health workers like the doctors and nurses visit houses door to door carrying out their services such as antenatal and postnatal care. However, carrying out such services becomes difficult, particularly in those areas where there are no proper concrete roads. It becomes challenging in the monsoon season, where most areas become flooded. Jivika Healthcare in partnership Government of Assam and Siemens Healthineers is operating Mobile Medical Units (Swasthya Sawari) to ensure easy accessibility of healthcare services to the remotely residing communities.
