Learnings from Field

Ambulance and presence of Doctor was an attracting point for beneficiaries. Counselling was one of the major tool for convincing people to get vaccinated. Involvement of local leaders from the community to spread awareness and convince people (in case of tribal areas especially).

There were daily targets that were pre-set by the head office for each unit, to be met by EOD. This enabled motivation and the will to work among the team members. Mobilization was done in the community, which resulted in a personal touch of service by reaching the doorsteps of the target population

Due to the staff belonging to the area of work same as their residence, the healthcare workers were able to gauge the problems and needs of the demographic. This helped in planning and improved implementation from Jivika’s side. There was good coordination among friendly staff at the units in Tamil Nadu, which helped in achieving the targets regularly.
