Making sure that remote and underserved communities in the PCMC, Pune have access to the vaccines. Going the last mile to reach and raise awareness in her assigned area, Jivika Tai Sunanda explains to people the risk of exposure to 6 vaccine-preventable diseases and the benefit of vaccination. She shares the vaccination journey of her child and ensures the communities understand that vaccines are safe. 

Narrating her own child’s vaccination journey has encouraged Mitali’s parents to enrol her on the AdoptAZindagi campaign. Manisha feels proud and happy to help other parents, so they can ensure their children are fully vaccinated. “I have set an example. Vaccines protect lives,” she says. Her confidence in the vaccine has encouraged other families with yellow/saffron ration cards to over their vaccine reluctance and hesitancy”, says Manisha. The fact that her child is safe and healthy, even after taking the vaccine, helped demolish fears and change the mindsets of many families.
