Cancerous growth in the penis of a 42 years old beneficiary
46 years old Mr Ramesh Mahto (changed name) came with a complaint of growth in the penis at Swasthya Sawari camp organized at Kumhardaga village of Gola block in Ramgarh district on 3rd of November 2022. After being diagnosed he was referred to the higher center for the treatment as the growth was cancerous involving prepuce and shaft penis. In the first follow-up the beneficiary informed that he was unable to go for treatment due to harvesting season. After continuous follow-ups the patient is currently under treatment at RIMS, Ranchi.
People residing in hard-to-reach locations are often deprived of quality healthcare facilities due to several reasons like distantly located healthcare facilities, lack of proper roads and transportation facilities and lack of health-seeking behaviour. Swasthya Sawari is addressing these challenges by taking quality healthcare facilities closer to villages through mobile medical units. We are immensely grateful to our partners for supporting us to make quality healthcare accessible to underprivileged and unreached people.
